Yes, and the CM7 has really solid bass (we use it on bass amp!). I auditioned a CM7-GT and ten CM7s at Mike Castoro's place (Wunder's owner) before I chose the CM7 I liked best. Great mic, most popular mic at the studio I work at for male vocals (and we have a Bock 507 as well). You might also consider a Lucas CS-4 (I have one coming next month).

I have 2 M7 capsules for my CMV563's, and though it is obviously very different situation than the U47, the capsule does sound great on either of my CMV's or on the RFT 7151.
