It would require buying new hardware but you can make it look like the Xbox 360 GUI wise, XBMC supports gapless playback. Personally I have backed up my old XBMC app, so I can reinstall it if I get a new phone. Recently I have started to use another program for music: Squeezeplug. The first time I tried it it wasn't gapless, and had other problems as well. But the most recent version, if you use the Squeezelite player, is gapless.
