    I have all codecs installed but RhythmBox will still not play a test.wma file that I just downloaded. I am running LM 18.1 KDE. VLC will play it. Also you might try Amarok which also plays WMA for me. I'm not sure which flavor of LM you are running and if Amarok is an easy option. I kind of like RhythmBox myself for my audio collection.
