    Hello, As soon as I upgrade my Windows Vista with the Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (KB948465), sound didn't work on windows media player. Playing music (Stored on the pc) is fine, playing games is fine, but as soon as i put on a DvD there is no sound at all.

    The guy at CPL said that for the optical drive I no longer needed a 4 pin audio cable for the DVD drive in order for sound to work in Vista. Does this sound correct? To me it doesn't. Even the drives intallation instructions make reference to the audio cable to be attached to the m/b or soundcard.
