U-Verse DVR From all of these components, I run an HDMI into the monoprice switch via HDMI in. There is one HDMI out which goes to my LG TV. (The only thing going to my TV is video) The one optical audio that comes out of the switch goes into my Bose Cinemate system, which controls the sound for all three components, regardless of input.

Unplug the RG and DVR and STB (s)and any WAP for wireless receiver (s), wait 30 seconds and plug the RG back in. When that turns all green, then plug the DVR back in and wait until it reboots. Then if there is a WAP, plug it in and let it turn green. Then plug in the STB (s), wait til it reboots and see if sound drop outs end.

Unhappy U-verse I've had AT&T U-verse service since 12/08, and I have an issue with audio dropouts on HD channels. I have the set-top box connected to my A/V receiver via optical digital cable. On HD channels with 5.1 audio, I get sporadic dropouts every five minutes or so. I called AT&T and was told it's a firmware issue to be resolved later.
