i have a Toft AFC-2 and love it. its the version with just the pre and eq. its awesome for toms and ive even used it for overheads. overheads performed better than i predicted but it ruled on toms. the eq is worth the price alone. and at 600 for the model without the compressor, this thing is a no-brainer of a purchase.

The pre's are the same as in the Toft ATB consoles, I believe, I think I read that somewhere. The EQ is the same circuit as the Trident 80 console. The compressor is a FET design, very good when not pushed too much. I have a Drawmer 1968ME so I don't use the ATC-2 compressor much.
