Somehow it doesn't recognize Philips as an audio capable device. If you look in Nvidia control panel under "Setup digital audio" - the text below says: "Selecting which display will appear in the Windows Sound Panel as an audio device". And that's exactly what doesn't happens - there is no HDMI sound devices to see there.

I have a Nvidia geforce 9600gt graphics card with dual dvi outputs. I'm using a DVI to HDMI adapter to connect to my samsung LCD tv. I'm not getting any audio out of the tv and i've tried all the drivers that people have posted and i've looked at my graphics card and there are no spdif pins on it so i can't connect it to my mobo.

Hi, I have just upgraded my PC which has a 9600gt video card, I have connected my PC to my Samsung DLP (SP50) TV via HDMI and can get pictures but no sound only bad distortion, the spdif is connected to the mother board and digital sound is activated in the nvidia sound settings.
