Make sure you have the driver that was created for your computer model. My Laptop is an HP DV9000 running Vista SP2 I was able to go to the Control Panel -> Device Manager -> Dispaly -> NVIDA -> Driver and select "rollback". That solved it for me. Make sure you set up a Restore point first, just in case this is not your solution. Good Luck.
