The issue is that with the Beyer leather pads there is more bass, and the 770/600 are kind of lean in the bass on their own. The JMoney pads are good, and I think they are the best pads for the 880 for sure, and outstanding for the 990 as well. But in the case of the 770, the Beyer leather pads that came with them are better, IMO.

The 770 leather pads, which are different from the 880/990 pads in terms of the typs and volume of padding used, sound excellent on the 770. The 770 are the worst with velour pads - they sound awful with these. I am happy to report, however, that the pads from JMoney also sound excellent on the DT990.

The Pilot's Beyer pads had no holes, they sounded like crap, but were leather and easy to get. That was the first attempt at getting Leather pads. TheLeather Beyer pads with the holes were hard to get, had to order Custom Manufaktor Cans for the most part.

I got my D7000 ear pads from JMoney on May 3rd, 2011. The wait was about two weeks from placing order to in my hands, but I did pay extra for fast ship. I have to say that I am not completely happy with the build quality of ONE of the ear pads. The leather is all bunched up and the pad is not as firm as the other one.
