I would get a w6 over a w7 anyday! I like the sound better and the SPL isnt far off and last but not least the fact that you can buy two for the price of one is unbeatable. 2-12w6v2's will be cleaner and louder then 1-12w7 in the same type of boxes with the same amount of power in the same car. You won't hear a considerable difference between the W7 and the W6v2, and unless you need an amp w/ massive power handling the W7 is overboard IMHO. Save yourself some cash and go with the W6v2 in a sealed box....keep the JL 500/1, you'll definitely appreciate the extra power and it's matched extremely well for the W6v2 - it might actually not provide …

I'm basing on sound quality. what about 2 w6's vs. 1 w7. I want real good SQ that still gets loud. would 1 JL w6 be sufficient or would you reccomend a W7. well the w7 has good sq. and with the right box anything can be loud. but really the w7 is not built to be for spl. its just made to sound good.
