I have two Jl F112v2 subs. I think and all of friends who come over to place think they sound great as well. On paper SVS subs look better than JL subs but when you sit down and actually do crucial listening I believe the JL fathom come out on top. many on this forum will disagree and the argument of price will come into play and JL will get bashed like always.

It depends on application. For deep bass, JL Audio doesn't have anything that can challenge the PB16-Ultra. For midbass, SVS doesn't have anything that could challenge the Gotham g213v2. Both manufacturers have their strengths. However, there is no doubt that SVS is the value leader between them. You could get six PB16-Ultras for the MSRP of one g213v2.

Considering the SVS SB13 shoud be more comparable to the JL Fathom f113, I would choose the SVS SB13 over the JL. The new JL line does look very interesting though. I haven't seen any definitive testing to support my statement though. I t would be hard to imagine JL making their "entry " level subs a direct competitor to their flagship models.
