I did not change anything in my system since one year and everything was really satisfactory. I noticed that this happened since my last windows update (2 days ago). You have two options: You can set the driver mode to MME-32 and then go to Options - MIDI Devices and select the wavetable synth (or similar synth that might be available in your computer, if nothing shows up on the MIDI device output other than the MIDI mapper so there is none, go to option 2).
