Have you checked to see that you have the latest codecs for the stuff you've got installed. The fact that the DIVX files all play bad on that computer, not just in SageTV, seems to indicate you have a more encompassing problem. Also, try disabling various programs and playing the DIVX file again.

I've almost the same problem with dual movies. I can't select audio tracks with BSPlayer (greyed out), and I could before format c: (I had Win2000 SP4 installed).
