Since this switches when you plug them in, try plugging in your headphones, then go into ASIO4ALL configuration and enable the headphones as output devices. Then fire up PT and see if it works for you.

    Power off the Eleven a Rack, Reboot your Mac, power back on the Eleven Rack, do not start any DAWs. Then if you just play from iTunes does that work? Then go and change the Mac audio settings so the Eleven Rack is not the system output and input device. Have you set your Mac to not sleep/suspend?
