The AK4396 will sound it's best running direct out through the coupling cap without the analog ultra sonic filter. The ultra sonic noise spectrum of this chip is unique in the industry in not needing one. Adding the 1k resistor to the output impedance of the chip tends to choke the sound.

thanks for your contributions. i run a heavy modded AK4396 kit from eBay with ne5532 as output stage. the signal goes RCA via a stepped 20k shunt attenuator to the 100k-imp SS power amp. i did this simple test using 2uf 400v Audycap mpk. the 3d was excellent to be on the pair Aureus! but no dynamic and bass!

I do know a better solution for the AK4396. But since I will launch it in a CS4398 based DAC soon, I really can't reveal to much. It is the product of about 4 years of developement and listening tests, and may very well set a new standard for digital audio gear. You could start by cloning the LC Audio ZAPFilter.

Evo i datasheet AK4396, str. 34 kaže: "The analog outputs are full differential outputs and 2,8 Vpp (typ. VREFH-VREFL = 5V) centred around VCOM. The differential outputs are summed externally, VAOUT=(AOUT+)-(AOUT-) between AOUT+ and AOUT-. If the summing gain is 1, the output range is 5,6Vpp (typ. VREFH-VREFL = 5V)." Dakle definitivno 5,6 Vpp.

AK4396 DAC kit. sastavljanje evo da pokrenem temu o tome i prodiskutiramo neke nedoumice i ideje. Neke stvari smo već diskutirali preko PM-a. Les Faul ima i neke, po meni odlične ideje, ali priču o tome prepuštam njemu. Ja ću za početak iznijeti par stvari za koje bi volio čuti vaše mišljenje.
