You have an original pair of The Advent Loudspeaker. Your pair has the old address and the metal terminal plate. A sign of a pre-1971 vintage pair. I just got myself a pair of The Advent Loudspeaker. My pair are in excellent condition, recently refoamed by Simply Speakers, and date from 1974. They're worth refurbishing the crossover. :tresbon:

Great overall sounding tweeter for any home audio application, but main design is for many Acoustic Research speakers (not OEM). Many have stated that the original tweeters have been the weak part of their speaker and now we have a great upgrade to the old paper dome, phenolic dome and the "newer" AB Tech version of the 1200084-1 tweeter.

Your speakers are indeed the original Advent speaker, now referred to as OLAs. The naked tweeters, no cage, along with the low serial numbers show that these are early production. The foam woofer surrounds look intact and most likely they have been replaced as the originals would almost certainly have disintegrated by now.
