    The Zvox 580 has pretty good built-in Subwoofers, but if you want thundering bass that you can "feel" you can add an external powered Subwoofer to the Sub-Out jack. All of the Zvox 580 commands can work with the remote you presently use. I use a Harmony 900 remote and all of the Zvox commands are available to the 900.

    The ZVOX 580 is excellent for the short duration that it works. The problem is that it is unreliable and doesn't last long. 1) The sound quality is very good. Not as good as the Speakercraft CS3, but significantly better than the Bose Solo. Bass is decent for a TV sound system. 2) It performs well at a range of volumes.
