It's easily the best tweeter Zu has ever used, and takes the sound to the next level. The Druid V's freewheeling dynamics, holographic imaging, gorgeous midrange, and vivid treble were put to good...

Accordingly Zu mate their signature driver to a 15lbs Radian compression tweeter even though the twin-cone widebander already has a whizzer. But then their Druid V speaker lists as 100dB efficient into 16Ω. That really lifts it up into the light cadre.

Even at modest volumes these speakers exhibit plenty of audiophilia: keenly and dutifully handling anything you throw at them. I have the Druid V's and Undertone sub. The combination is wonderful. The Druid V's are much more refined and detailed then the older MK.IV. The new Zu's manage to keep that beautiful tone and dynamics, which gives the speakers that lively and engaging sound. The Radian tweeter really brings the sound to a much higher level along with the nano FRD.

When I crossed its path, the brand already had traction in the PRC and Hong Kong but very little at home. Forward to 2012.

    https://audio-head.com/review-zu-druid-mk-vi/
Aesthetically the speaker retains much of Zu’s boxy, straightforward approach. At 50” high, the Druid does stand a bit taller than the entry-level Omen and your typical Best Buy loudspeaker, but is not as deep or as “European slim” in orientation.

Zu Audio Druid Mk 4/08 Speakers - HomeTheaterHifi.com

Zu uses a proprietary acoustical modeling technique, called ZuRG , to design their speakers. The Druid is equipped with Zu-manufactured and designed drivers, including a wideband 10″ driver and a composite dome super tweeter with machined aluminum horn radiator. The wideband driver covers 35 Hz to 12 kHz. The super-tweeter covers only 12 kHz ...
