If the Options/configuration window doesn’t let you select audio output, then try pulseaudio out. There is no need to ask for permission. Test it and, if it doesn’t work, you can always uninstall it. I have already posted on a different answer how to do this.

I'm the maintainer of the AUR zsnes package, and I have no problems myself. Do other SDL audio programs not play sound for you? On a side note, arch-games was kind enough to provide a packaged version of my bin32-zsnes PKGBUILD in their x86_64 repository as well as snes9x-gtk . Last edited by Intrepid (2009-10-13 17:58:35)

Is there any way to fix the sound on ZSNES? I noticed that in some games, the sound is a bit off or doesn't play at all (maybe it's because I didn't touch any configs on it). For example, in Batman Returns, the motorcycles sound super weird. Also, when playing Earthworm Jim 2, I can't hear him playing the accordion. Thanks for reading.

Like any non emulation-lamers knows (i.e: "z.nes is basically perfect") zsnes (and snes9x to a lesser extend) timing isn't all that great. Apparently,SnesSe's timing engine is more accurate, and sure enough, the bad ...
