The original A1 transformer is smaller (15V+15V, 0.5A+0.5A). So YS-A1's big transformer is only an ornament. Chemical capacitances of YS-A1 seem to be different from FA1 (FA1 capacitances are made by Panasonic). The noise level of FA1 is high. If you use low-Z and high sensitivity mobile headphones, you can hear remarkable white noise.
