Flash video plays but the audio skips a lot. I had similar problems with other applications but was able to get around it by using the right audio setup, such as using -A alsa when running Xine. But the flash plugin doesn’t allow that sort of setting (at least not that I can find). A little digging found a Fedora posting on using Flash.

The simplest is to use the arrows next to the audio track icon on the Xine control panel (usually a speaker). Alternatively, you can use the -a command line parameter. In order to keep video and audio in sync, xine regularly queries the audio driver for the amount of delay induced by the current length of the driver's audio buffer. Unfortunately some OSS drivers seem to be broken because the can return strange values here. This confuses the xine audio subsystem and makes it drop audio.

You may have selected the wrong audio channel or you're trying to play a stream that uses features Xine doesn't support (yet). 9.7 When I play a particular file/stream, Xine shows some pictures but there's no audio. Try another audio channel: $ xine -a channel stream.vob some .VOB files have audio on strange channels (e.g. 3, 7, 10)
