    After upgrading all apps and rebooting, when starting XFCE it reports "Plugin Audio Mixer unexpectedly left the panel, do you want to restart it?" It then offers to Execute again, which fails, or Remove. So no volume control. Sound was muted by default but alsamixer in a terminal works fine and sound can be restored.
