the Xbox is run through eARC, passthrough through the TV. the TV apps have perfect sound sync, but playing Destiny 2, or AC Valhalla, the sound is noticeably out of sync for everything from voices, gunshots, to jumping/landing sounds in games. I did not have this issue with my Xbox One X set up in the exact same way.

Check you AVR audio settings. Check your HDMI cable. Say this is a problem with anything other than the Xbox itself. I say this because I know 100% for sure this is an Xbox Blu Ray app issue. Adjusting delay on my receiver only had an option of lip sync on or off; turning this off on the receiver reduced the problem but it was still off a bit. I found a setting under the disk drive (Xbox Home, Settings, Blu Ray (not the app), there was a choice in there to allow the receiver to decode the audio completely.
