Other than issues with Dolby and DTS codec licenses, the only downside with the Ouya for XBMC is the fact that it does not come with a remote control. Would be nice it they at least fixed HDMI CEC support, but even better would be if they shipped their own simple (and cheap) remote control with Ouya.

I haven't pegged what's causing my slow WiFi transfers (ouya is 10 feet from router reporting 65 Mbps connection) but any decent 1080p mkv buffers every 30 seconds. I just updated from the normal XBMC app to a sideloaded Kodi 14.2 but somehow I have pretty huge sound issues. The XBMC APK directly from OUYA worked before. I got a an AV receiver with 5.1 that works like a charm with anything else. In Kodi the standard for sound is set to "2.0". With this setting all sound is coming from only 1 front speaker.

OUYA doesn't yet do passthrough with audio. It's a bigger issue with those wanting to use it for XBMC, as the OUYA also sucks at decoding multi-channel audio. Their Support has said audio passthrough is something they're considering for future firmware.
