9. This time, again without making any changes in the BF Configurator, I tried to launch the game from the Alliance.exe file. I got to the XWAU menu, clicked 'Play X-Wing Alliance,' heard the fly-by sound, the Windows 10 loading symbol started, and then nothing else happened (like before). So the issue appears to be something to do with the patch.
