The projector shows up as the "audio device" in Windows 10 - as it did in Windows 7 also. All other apps besides WinTV can play audio just fine, including PowerDVD bit streaming to HDMI, Windows system sounds, etc. I have been googling for this issue, but nothing else is coming up. Has anyone else run into this ? I may have to downgrade to Win7.

To verify, display the audio modes supported by your TV. Go to Settings --> About --> Status --> HDMI. You'll probably only see PCM listed, as opposed to DD which would indicate support for Dolby Digital (AC-3). When you disable passthrough (bitstream) in Plex, the app itself decodes the bitstream audio and passes it to your TV as PCM.

Cable TV goes into one end and USB cord comes out the other. Simple. Bought a new HP Media Center PC (without tuner) and moved the USB device over to that machine. Obtained new drivers for WinTV2000 from web site. Program runs find and autoscan does locate the incoming cable channel 3. But no picture and no sound.
