Go in there and turn it off. There is an option in Windows Media player to have it download the codecs automatically. Go in there and turn it off. Not in WMP 6.4...what's weird is that the new computer tries to download a codec but the old one does not...so something was installed on the old computer to make it play without trying to download.

When I try to play with Windows Media Player an mpg2 file which includes a LPCM stereo audio track, I can only see the video but I can't here any sound. If I demultiplex the video to elementary streams, I can play the demuxed audio track without problems (I can here the sound).

I have a video .m2ts with 3 audio tracks, 2 are AC3 and one is LPCM. I have created a new .m2ts file with tsMuxer with only LPCM audio track, but the audio of this file is not recognized by Windows media player, that plays no audio. Looking at properties of the file in windows, it doesn't show any audio propertuy, like as it had no audio.
