Some of my older DVDs that struggle to play on VLC, work just fine in Windows DVD Player, however, the constant skipping, pausing, then fast forwarding to catch up, is irritating. I have used dvd decrypter with a dvd changer to rip a bunch of movies, the software i'm using only lets me use dvd decrypter with any dvd to make backups to iso, not to "video-ts" folder style. So VLC plays the isos just fine, but if I unzip the iso with winrar, the audio skips in vlc. If I use vidcoder and use audio passthrough the audio skips.
