I have a dell inspiron 1545 running Windows 7 with 4GB of Ram, I have never had an issue until about 10 days ago and now for some reason my audio is skipping like crazy. I check my resource monitor and the task manger but even at 17% CPU Im getting a horrible click.

Finally purchased Windows 7, and suprise of surprises, another disaster. I write and record music but Windows 7 has an irritating lag issue in the sound from the speakers or headphones. This makes it impossible to use as far as recording anything. From research I have found it IS A WINDOWS PROBLEM, not soundcards or driver issues.

Whenever I record, or even enable "listen to this device" on my laptop and speak into the microphone, there is about a half a second delay in the playback and recording.
