Best option for the Wii is to rip the CDs elsewhere and play the files back through WiiMC. As far as I know, CDs and/or CD-Rs just flat out are not compatible with the Wii's laser, which as far as I know is something to the tune of a DVD laser that reads at a weird hyperspecific angle that's different from traditional DVDs and their lasers.
