Wii powers on, with sound but no video. - Nintendo Wii ...

My wii works perfectly fine. The only issue I have is when I boot it up (Red light to green light), sound comes out of the tv, but no video is shown. I have gone through five different brands and types of wii video/audio cables and nothing has worked. I think it has something to do with the video plug inside the console.

wii has sound but no video | AfterDawn Discussion Forums

Fixes: Using a composite cable turn on the Wii without the composite cable plugged into the TV. This should boot the Wii in 480i video mode. After the Wii boots plug the AV cables in (without turning off the Wii). If this works go into settings and change the video setting from 480p back to 480i.

It sounds like the system has been bricked in some low-level component. (Boot1, Boot2, System Menu, or the System Menu IOS) System Menu is responsible for initializing video, which would explain why you get no signal instead of at least a black screen.

No Video from Wii - Audio only - Retrogaming Roundtable

    https://forum.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?129756-No-Video-from-Wii-Audio-only
No Video from Wii - Audio only. So my buddy brings me over his Wii, I guess because I'm the only gamer geek he knows, and says "we get sound but no picture." I plugged it into two different televisions each with two different composite connection cables and in each instance, I got only sound and no picture. I'm assuming this rules out their TV and their cable.

The old one, when I plug it in, shows the red like, as normal, and when I push power on system or controller....the light turns green, and can hear it make that usual sound when it turns on...like checking the drive I think...but get no audio or video...and the TV screen just says No Signal.

No the Wii has all the wires it needs, you need the composite AV cable that was supplied with your tv to connect the two audio cables. (see the pics above of the manual) You plug the white and red audio cables into the corresponding cables of the AV cable for your TV then plug that into the AV input on the TV(located under the CI Card In)
