If these speakers have a seperate subwoofer to them make sure the sub woofer is the thing plugged into the computer and the speakers are plugged into the subwoofer and the sub woofer is plugged into the wall.

If they don't, then it is quite possible that the 'Realtek' speakers are actually the install for the Polk speakers... so you'd have to unplug the Polk speakers again, and this time Uninstall the (driver for the) Realtek speakers, then restart the computer, then plug the Polk speakers in again... and check in Device Manager again as to what shows up, Polk or Realtek or neither.
