The Live should play the DTS “core” of any DTS-HD MA file. If it doesn’t, there’s probably something wrong with the audio track. DTS have an outdated licensing structure that doesn’t recognise media streamers like the Live. DTS won’t give WD a DTS-HD streaming license because they say one doesn’t exist.

Hi, I have recently bought a wd tv live and have been ripping my blu rays to MKV files. I’m having problems with DTS HD.
