I have been looking for an answer and none found, but it seems the there is an issue with the WatchESPN no having audio. The majority (if not all) of the people with this issue are on CM7. Is it possible this is a ROM issue? I have yet to try a different ROM with it as I figured it was an app bug and they would update it with a patch.

When I changed it to the mute function and flipped the switch it solved the no audio from the WatchESPN app problem. I then set it back to control orientation again and the audio was still working. Hope this helps (and that it keeps working). The solution came from a discussion thread about another app sound problem.

Exact same situation here. Vizio tv, android phone, iPad. Every commercial break the audio fades to nothing. I've rebooted my chromecast, updated my iPad, uninstalled and reinstalled both the apps (watchespn and chromecast), and switched to a different HDMI output...All with no luck. There was no sound at all. I did all my due diligence; made sure the video itself wasn't muted, my speakers were on, tested the sound in Windows which was fine, closed and relaunched the browser, etc etc. Nothing would work. Then, I clicked on a different video by a different channel, and it has sound.
