After earning his bachelor‟s degree Voulkos entered the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland earning an M.F.A. in ceramics in 1952. Voulkos continued to make functional ware after graduation, returning to Bozeman to establish a production pottery with classmate Rudy Autio that would become the Archie Bray Foundation.
