I extracted the package to my C: drive and there's no "audio" driver directory at all. So it appears that VMWare purposely released the tools package without audio drivers. Which, if you've used VMWare products for a long time, isn't surprising. By the way, once you allow Player 12.5.4 or 12.5.5 to "upgrade" VMWare tools you're toast.
