In the Virtual Machine (VM) (ie WinXP) open Windows Device Manager. Expand “Sound, video and game controllers”. Select the "Creative AudioPCI (ES1371,ES1373) (WDM)" driver and press the Uninstall icon. Press the “Scan for hardware changes” icon and the Creative driver should automatically be re-installed.
