Hi, I am running the latest version of VM player on a HOST laptop which includes a SD Card reader. The HOST OS in WIndows 7 64 bit and the SD card shows up as a "Portable Device" in its device manager - the manufacturer of the device I think is O2Micro (from the Manufacturer Details fom in the device driver details tab).

I think the XP VM uses an "emulated Sound Blaster" type of sound (XP supports those) -- you shouldn't need to install a driver. Actually the mixer etc is far better than the bog standard volume control on W10 !!! On the XP mixer you can adjust Right / Left and select input devices. W10 standard "mixer" is a load of dogs mess.

Don't set the sound to your own card, for it is likely that there are no drivers available for it. It was a bit of a puzzle to have the right drivers for Windows 98 and the VMWare player, but here you have a link to the ZIP file with the drivers that I used.
