    I think the XP VM uses an "emulated Sound Blaster" type of sound (XP supports those) -- you shouldn't need to install a driver. Actually the mixer etc is far better than the bog standard volume control on W10 !!! On the XP mixer you can adjust Right / Left and select input devices.
