    edit: Found the answer! The windows 10 plex app does NOT support HDMI pass-through. However you can use Plex Media Playerwhich is essentially the same app but it also has a TV mode. Enter TV mode then go into setting and under audio you can set it to HDMI pass-through. You can return to desktop mode and it will still pass-through the audio.
