VLC neither retrieves the CDDB info nor the album art. I have tried the following: 1) Multiple CDs that all retrieve the correct info through AIMP. 2) Changing the CDDB server to freedb.org, cddb.cddb.org , freedb.freedborg, etc and resetting the server to its original setting. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

In VLC, the CDDB retrievals are working for Audio CD's, but. When VLC starts for the first time, set Album Art Policy to "As soon as track is added". Or configure this in "Playlist" later. Optinally you could re-start VLC without any cmd line option (just double click on the vlc.exe or from the desktop shortcut, if available ) and next open the disc by menu "Media->Open Disk->Disk Selection:Audio CD" and if the "disc Device" drive letter is right, just press "Play" button to load all audio tracks on the playlist.
