I have an issues with some form of malware I get random ad audio playing in the background. It used to be a couple but not it is so excessive. In IE8 Tools > Manage add-ons > disable anything that looks suspicious. Also Tools > Internet Options > Content> Feeds and Web slices > Settings > un check both "Play Sound ....."
