I am listening to the Virtue Two with the 130 watt power supply, and I have to say that I am thoroughly impressed with this amp driving my 89dB efficient Fostex single driver speakers. I have plenty of headroom to create a solid and large soundstage that doesn't collapse during complex passages.

The Virtue Audio amps are way over kill for headphone use. Far more power than needed, unless you are using it for speakers. As for caps, I am don't see much benefit of boutique caps. As long as they are good quality film caps, they sound very similar.

Are those (Virtue T-Amps) still for sale anywhere? I'm interested but it looks like they stopped making them. My choice of the Dayton is definitely a price/performance decision. From their reviews it sounds like a 5% chance that I'll get a defective unit, but at least they have a great return policy.
