The M5001 is based on the ICEpower ASP500 module, which delivers 250 watts per channel into 8 Ohms and double the power into a 4 Ohm load. Bought a Virtue Audio M5001 ICEBlock that used a Dodd tube buffer - much, much better. Had a short spin with the Calyx Femti that uses the 125asx2 module - nice and sweet. Right now I have a pair of the current version Bel Canto Ref 500M sitting in storage. Haven't had time to try them out yet, but will report back when I do give it a shot.
