The problem stems from the fact that you have a hardware MPEG2 encoder card and Windows' VFW interface marks the incoming stream as a video stream, even though it has both audio and video multiplexed together. Boco. 2011-01-29 12:33:14 pm. I recently picked up a Dazzle DVC-100 as well and haven't been able to capture audio with it in DScaler or VirtualDub either. I researched it and apparently neither of those programs work with Dazzle series cards above DVC-90 when running Vista or Windows 7 (though they work fine in XP).

Virtualdub might work with Dazzle, as it should be able to decode mpeg2, but for the reason above it won't improve the quality. Also, because of the hardware encoder, a Dazzle might put both video and audio into the same stream that Virtualdub thinks is a "video stream", making it unable to find the audio stream.
