On your V+ Remote, push your blue "Home" button Select #8 or "Settings" Select #4 or "Change Display & Audio Settings" Then find where it says "HDMI audio override" and make sure that is selected to OFF

Again, sadly, it is not that simple. My AVR (a Denon 4306) is capable and is set to decode the Dolby Digital sound from the V+. Yet unless override is set I get 2-channel PCM over HDMI and s/pdif. If override is set then I get 5.1 DD and my AVR decodes it. It is not really a problem, as I say override fixes it, but it is not as it should be.
