I mostly use the KHV-1 with Sennheiser HD650s nowadays, but I used AKG's K530s, K701s and Beyer's DT990s '05 in the past. I had the Vincent KHV-1 two years ago and it has my highest recommendations! Specially with the HD650 it was fantastic. I did not do any tuberolling while I had it. I know of a few people who really loves the KHV-1 and as a pre-amplifier they sway it also rocks. The sound is full-bodied and very detailed. Maybe a very little bit to the warm side.
