The Fast Track Pro won't work with the Ipad, because it is not a Class Compliant Audio Interface. It requires the Drivers to be installed in the system. That been said. The thing you have to try is first powering the fast with the Power Supply and then connect it to the Ipad. That's the way I use my RME Babyface with the Ipad.
