Hi @gayleshe,. Have you tried using either HDMI 2 or HDMI 3 inputs on the TV just to see if the problem does not occur ? This is a known issue with older model Sanyo TVs when using HDMI connections with certain devices.. The only known way around it is to cycle through the inputs as you are currently doing to get the audio to resume .

The HDMI audio and video work fine. However, everytime I boot, a big blue box appears in the middle of the screen for about 20 seconds which reads "please use audio 3 input for dvi connection".
