They were a remarkably beautiful-sounding and clear pair of speakers which 'should' cost much more than they do. The A2 is no substitute at all unless you like the kind of bass it puts out.

I recommend the AudioEngine 2's highly. Am very very happy with mine. The quality of construction and design is excellent, and the treble/imaging/soundstage is amazing for my computer system. They do have surprisingly good bass for their size, however, they are still small speakers. AudioEngine does sell a matching subwoofer for $349 (Rs. 17,500).

Both Audioengine and Swan make great speakers, but those specific models are a bit... weak. What is your budget? My budget is $150. I don't plan on adding a sub any time in the near future though, probably not until I want to upgrade to even better speakers years later. The new A-2s have a usb dac and is more flexible in terms of inputs and outputs. The Swans are a bigger speaker (close to the size of the audioengine A5s). I am not a fan of speakers that size for a computer near field set up as I found that they didn't image as well as I like. YMMV. If your budget can handle it, I'd get the emotiva airmotiv 4.
