No, the Supreme FX is just an audio riser like the DFI Karajan and Bernstein audio risers and the audio riser cards that come with some Abit boards. It is in all aspects inferior to any XFi card. For that matter even some C-Media based cards. If you really wanted a non-Creative card that sounds just as good, HT Omega Claro Plus is the one.

98. Posted August 12, 2013. Supreme FX is a realtek chip (can't remember which one) with some software from Creative and a bit of extra shielding from interference if I understand it correctly. Asus doesn't really give any specifications on their website so it's hard to figure out which chip it really is.

The difference in these and onboard audio is that the chipset is on a separate riser card and does not suffer as badly from EMI noise. Sometimes mobo manufacturers rebadge the software to make it look like a premium offering, but its still Realtek or other cheap chipset on a riser card and at times you will get Creative's X-FI MB software to boot.

Sorry to burst your bubble, the soundcard is worthless.
